Herbs can be used in many forms; fresh, dried, or as an essential oil. When using fresh or dried simply burn in a charcoal burner, place in sachet, or scatter around the alter. Before using any herbs internally by ingesting directly in food or using in a tea, always make sure that the herb can be used internally from your supplier.
Fresh or dried, herbs can always be rubbed between the palms or fingers to release the aromatic healing properties, try this with lavender, pine, or rosemary. Essential Oils shouldn't be put directly onto the skin due to irritations. When using essential oils dilute them by placing a few drops into a small container of almond or grape seed oil. A diluted mixture can be rubbed on the skin, used in massage or put in a diffuser. Herbs in all states can be made into satchels and worn around the neck to protect, heal and transform.
