URUZ: Strength, Endurance, Achievement

Meaning:

Uruz is the rune of endurance and strength but it really is the rune of understanding of these two things. The hunter learned this understanding after achieving the ultimate prize, the Auroch. This great and un-tamable ox are extinct today but Julius Caesar described them as being slightly smaller than an elephant with the color and shape of a mighty bull, that refuses domestication.

In modern times you have other challenges to test your metal and the rune Uruz usually appears after a period of feeling trapped and weak. Uruz lets you know that those days are over and changes are coming for the better. For it isn't the world that has changed rather it's your understanding of your own strength and endurance which has changed. There's no going back to the old understanding, don't try.
