Major Arcana of Tarot Cards

Using just the major arcana for psychic tarot card readings

The first 22 cards of the Tarot are refereed to as the Major Arcana , they consist of the Fool through the world and they dignify the journey and the lessons one goes through in life. They also relate to the major Arch types of the psyche (classic roles that we take on in life, or are played out by other people).

The Major Arcana can represent many different things on different levels simultaneous. They're also called the trumps, and no matter what they are called or represent they are the strongest energy force in the deck! They're notorious for representing karma / destiny (life lesson) or an entity (such as a spirit guide / angel, or loved one who has passed) influencing the person or situation. Each card from the Major Arcana has a very distinct personality, they may compliment another card but they are very much their own identity and distinguish the level of growth and how the life lesson will be given.

The Major Arcana was the original Tarot deck, the 56 suit cards were added later, and you can easily give a great reading by using just the Major Arcana, I often suggest the people use just the major arcana to do a their first psychic tarot reading. Here is how, simply think about a situation you would like some clarity on... shuffle the 22 card of the major arcana while thinking about your situation which you want clarity. Now look at the card, lets say you got the death card...

Take a deep breath and just think about the death card, death represents an ever lasting change or transition which there is never any returning to the old. However the Death Card represents an upcoming birth and new way, new day. But the first thing you should be doing is looking at the death card and what symbols numbers or colors are jumping out at you? Now do free word association with those symbols colors or numbers that are prominent also do some free word association with the word or concept of death... just say the word death and then the next thing that pops into your head. When you have an insight it will twinge in your physical being sometimes like a sinking feeling in the gut or a heart felt sorrow, sometimes a release or sigh of joy in your spirit.

Really developing your psychic ability is no more than creating channels for the universal mind/ subconscious/ to flow through or around your analytical and critical thought process. Our critic tells us it is impossible to know certain things, that believe in the impossible makes it impossible. The more insights you have that are verifiable will create more possibilities for greater understandings and truths.
