The Hierophant, High Priest

The Hierophant (High Priest) of the major arcana of the tarot deck You are forever changing the concept of God and the God Head. Your relationship to this understanding or concept we call God or Divine is always slowly evolving so you understand that you are creation and the creator.

When the Hierophant shows up there is a lesson to be learned... usually you have already learned it. It's more that now you have to admit it and digest it. What old religious beliefs are you keeping around that you are afraid to throw out? Are you afraid that God is going to strike you down if you don't believe in him... if he would, wouldn't that suggest that you are worshiping a cruel and petty god?

The Hierophant isn't about feeling safe in a belief structure that no longer works. Rather now life dictates that this structure built around your spiritual beliefs must give way because your spiritual beleifs have evolved and now you have to deal with it.

The divine runs through the universe and runs through you. This is the time to realize that you're divine and that you are a God, a Creator! You have Free Will! You control your own destiny! Every thought feeling and action creates your life and your lessons.
